PHILLY-TECH GENERAL CONSTRUCTION PRE-APPRENTICE

After this program, students will learn about the three sectors of construction: buildings, infrastructure and industrial.  Building construction is divided into residential and non-residential. After PHILLY-TECH’s pre-apprentice, you will understand the importance of construction, creating buildings and spaces that connect communities, providing jobs, and improving society. You will learn about the construction project and how it is the organized process of constructing, renovating, refurbishing included:  building, structure or infrastructure.

• Blueprint
• Building structure
• Electrical systems
• Heating and ventilation, air conditioning HVAC
• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Concrete and masonry
• Building framing and envelopes
• Finishing (painting, tiles and flooring system)

In addition, students will learn about different power tools and how they operate.
