Philadelphia Institute of Science and Technology

Computer Technology

At PHILLY-TECH, computer Science is the study of different computers and computational systems. Students will learn software systems and system implementation. In addition, students will learn Information Technology (IT ) including: theories, designs, developments, and applications. Students will develop problem solving, critical thinking and complex analytical skills. These skills that students develop are especially useful when working with complex algorithms and big data to create instructions and understand design patterns.

Artificial Intelligence

PHILLY-TECH’S Artificial intelligence (AI) program provides students the ability of a computer and a robot controlled by a computer system to do tasks that are usually done by humans because they require human intelligence and discernment.

At PHILLY-TECH, students will learn the branch of computer languages and programs that emphasize the development of intelligence machines that thinking and working like humans.

Information Analyst and Cyber Security

At PHILLY-TECH, students will learn about information security, data analysis and install software such as firewalls to protect computer networks. Students will plan and carry out security measures to protect a computer’s networks and systems.

PHILLY-TECH’S cyber Security focuses on protecting data from cyber related crime that includes fraud, phishing and other threats. PHILLY-TECH’S analysis program helps students understand company IT infrastructure in detail, and evaluate threats that could potentially breach the network.

Computer system and Data Analysis

Computer systems analysts serve as a bridge between IT and management teams.

At PHILLY-TECH, students will learn the diagnosing database and computer systems issues. Students will analyze the systems and processes, advising leadership on new technologies to increase productivity. Students will learn and maintain an organization’s technological efficiency. In addition, students will learn systems, which is the process of observing systems for troubleshooting purposes.

Computer Information System Management

At PHILLY-TECH, students will learn about computer information systems and coordinate and direct computer related activities in an organization. In addition, students will learn computer and Information Systems (CIS) planning by determining the technology needs of a company and making hardware and software related decisions to meet those needs. Computer and information systems technicians and managers plan and facilitate the computer related activities of organizations. They help set technical and business goals and make detailed plans for the implementation of these goals.

Network Architect and IT

At PHILLY-TECH, the computer network architects program provides students with experience in design and build data communication networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), Network architects design LANs, WANs, and internets. PHILLY-TECH’S computer network architecture is based on the physical and logical design of the software, hardware, protocols, and transmission of data. Students will learn how businesses and organizations access, use and benefit from the internet.

Software developer

At PHILLY-TECH, students will learn how software developers create computer programs and understand the similarities and the differences between software developers and software programmers. Students will learn the difference between computer programmer, sometimes called a software developer, or more recently a coder. In addition, students will learn to compare software developers who deal with design and program implementation, in contrast to software engineers who use the principles of engineering to build computer programs and applications.

Web Developer

At PHILLY-TECH’S web developer program, students will learn the programming or coding to develop the World Wide Web applications using a client server model. Web developer students will create and maintain websites. Students will also learn the responsibility of a website’s technical aspects, such as its performance and capacity which is determined by the website’s speed and how much traffic it can handle.

Quantum Computer and Nano-Technology

PHILLY-TECH’S quantum computing program focuses on the development of computer technologies by using the principles of quantum theory. In addition, students will learn about Quantum dots which is a term referred to semiconductor particles. Students will learn about Quantum computing which is the study of how to use phenomena in quantum physics to create new ways of computing.

PHILLY-TECH’S Quantum computing is focused the emerging technology that harnesses the laws of quantum mechanics to solve problems too complex for classical computers.
